Early Start Details for Race 3 on Sunday

Those who ran 51 minutes or above at Stage 1 have qualified for Early Start on Sunday at 7AM. You can not run in Early Start on Sunday without approval from Ellen. So in a nutshell, everyone who ran Stage 1 at 51 minutes or more have qualified for Early Start.

A Tremendously Challenging Trail Race Filled with Incredible Beauty!

STAGE #1 - Friday, November 4th at 5:00-6:00pm Start - 3 Mile Pond Road (Yes, this is a trail race!) (Headlamps req'd if racing in the dark)
STAGE #2 - Saturday, November 5th at 10:00am Start - 5.5 Mile Devils Bathtub, with infamous stair climb finish
STAGE #3 - Sunday, November 6th at 8:00am Start - The 11 Mile EPIC Stage

Early Start available and recommended Sunday at 7:00am, based on results from Friday night's race and at the race directors' discretion. We will notify participants on Saturday at Devil's Bathtub (and via email) of their early start status.

Parking will be available at ONLY the following locations on the days listed. No road side parking will be permitted!
Friday: Horse Trailer Parking Lot (corner of Pond Rd & Douglas Rd), Lookout/Algonkian/Devil's Bathtub Shelters.
Saturday: Devil's Bathtub, Algonkian Shelter
Sunday: Beach Lot

Timing along with post-race food after each stage.
A custom mug to the first 175 registrants!
Hoodie to all FINISHERS of the entire Stage Race (Yes - all 3 stages). - Hoodie sizing is guaranteed only if registered by 10/23/2022!

*PS - Historically we have never shown the hoodie until you have earned it when you finish the final stage. That tradition remains, but know that this hoodie is highly covetted.

By registering for this event you are acknowledging that the date, time, location, and distance of the race may be changed, switched to virtual, or canceled at any time as deemed necessary by the Race Directors due to circumstances beyond their control. In the event that any of these scenarios happens or any other scenario, there will be no refunds, transfers, or deferrals allowed unless otherwise stated.

Packet Pickup

Pre-Race Packet Pickup will be available Thursday, November 3rd from 10am - 6:00pm at Fleet Feet @ The Armory, 155 Culver Rd., Rochester, NY 14620. You DO NOT want to wait until race day. Others can pick up your packet for you

Day Of Packet Pickup
- Friday, November 4th from 4:30PM to 5:30PM - it closes promptly at 5:30PM
- Saturday, November 5th from 9AM - 9:30AM - it closes promptly at 9:30AM
- Sunday, November 6th at this time this is TBD - prepare to get your items Thursday or Friday during the times allotted

Tough hilly course. Starts on Pond Rd next to Add-en-On Kennels. Headlamps are required if in the dark!

The Devil's Bathtub Stage - 5.5 Mile Trail Run

Mass start with the infamous stair climb finish. Starts at Devils Bathtub

The Epic Stage - The 11 Mile Trail Challenge

Taking in much of Mendon Ponds Park and its trail system. This race starts at Stewart Lodge.

MENDON PONDS PARK - Pond Rd. - Route 65 (Clover Street) south from Monroe Avenue. Go to 3rd entrance. Turn left onto the Pond Rd/Nature Center Entrance. At bottom of big hill turn turn right onto Pond Rd. The start of Stage 1 is up about a 1/2 mile.

MENDON PONDS PARK - Devils Bathtub - Route 65 (Clover Street) south from Monroe Avenue. Go to 3rd entrance. Turn left onto the Pond Rd/Nature Center Entrance. At bottom of big hill turn left. The race 2 starts at the top of Devil's Bathtub. If you went past the big Mendon Pond you went too far. Look for signs.

MENDON PONDS PARK - Stewart Lodge - Route 65 (Clover Street) south from Monroe Avenue. Go to 1st entrance - Left onto Canfield Rd. Turn right onto Douglas Rd. Park at Beach Lot.
