Want some RnR?  Who doesn't need some?  Join us for the brand new Roots n Road! Choose the 3 or 5 mile Run/Walk with a combination of roads and trails at the beautiful (hilly) Mendon Ponds Park!  We wanted to create an event that was a perfect taster for those brand new to trail racing, but ideal for those wanting to go speedy and mix up the terrain.  So join us for some RnR on August 22nd & 23rd!

COVID-19 GUIDELINES

Due to the current COVID-19 global pandemic, we are taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of our staff, participants, and the general community.

  1. Masks must be worn leading up to the start of your event and immediately following the finish of your event.
  2. All athletes are required to carry hydration with them while on course.
  3. Post-Race food will be prepackaged and in a bag. These will be handed out to you at the finish line upon completion of your event.
  4. Remain physically distant by a minimum of 6 feet at all times, and no congregating before or after your event.
  5. Packet pickup items will be pre-bagged and labeled with your name on it. There is no exchange of shirts or bib numbers available.
  6. Throw out any of your own trash, do not toss it on the ground for staff/volunteers/other athletes to clean up.
  7. When registering, you will choose your start wave, and must start at this time.
  8. All athletes will have their temperature taken in the "temperature corral" prior to the start of your wave. Anyone with a fever will not be allowed to compete and will be asked to leave.

Packet Pickup Details

Both Saturday and Sunday Athletes - Please go to Packet Pick-up on Thursday, August 20th from 11:00AM to 5:00PM at Fleet Feet @ The Armory, 155 Culver Rd.

  • It will be held outside under the overhang.
  • Masks must be worn and please remain physically distant.
  • Bring signed waiver in order to get your packet.
  • All your items will be in ONE BAG, handed out by YJR staff.
  • Only one person at Packet Pickup Table at a time, even if family.
    • Yes, someone else can get your packet for you BUT you MUST have their signed waiver. We cannot give you any packet until we have a signed waiver.

Day Of Packet Pickup - NOT ENCOURAGED

Day 1 Athletes Race Day Packet Pickup (PPU) Details:  Again, try not to do this.  Saturday, August 22nd from 8AM to 9AM.

You MUST read all documents so you know what wave you are in and how the area will be set up.  Please know you will be expected to be at the corrals at specific times.

Course/Maps

The event starts and finishes at Stewart Lodge.  The 3 and 5 Mile start/finish by Stewart Lodge and pop back and forth between road and trail.  A perfect hybrid of Roots N Road!  See maps below.
