Update as of 12/10/21: To All Reindeer Run Athletes, Vollies, Spectators and Staff...
Effective Monday 12/13 NYS will implement a mandatory indoor public facility mask policy , but given the circumstances, The Blue Cross Arena cordially requests all staff, volunteers, participants, spectators, attendees, etc. wear a mask effective immediately in all indoor spaces regardless of age, or vaccination status.

Reindeer Run 5K & Kids 1/2 Mile is going HYBRID!
This festively fun downtown Rochester race embraces all things December and Wintery Holiday Fun!
Join us in person on December 11th at Blue Cross Arena, or choose your favorite route and run/walk it on your time, virtually!
Submit your virtual results any time between 8am, December 11 - 9pm, December 19.
The first 170 packets picked up at Fleet Feet @ The Armory will receive reindeer antlers!
In-Person Entry Includes:
• Long sleeve cotton t-shirt (Note: Shirt Color Subject to Change Based on Availability) Guaranteed if register by Nov 15th.

Packet Pickup

Friday, December 10th - 10am-6:30pm at Fleet Feet @The Armory (155 Culver Rd, Rochester, NY 14620) - Please go to early packet pickup. Others may pickup for you. This will help alleviate race day lines and congestion.
Race Day Packet Pickup is 7:30am - 8:15am at Blue Cross Arena. Please do not wait until race day!!!
Awards
5K Awards
- Overall Male & Female Finishers
- Age Group Awards to Top Male/Female in 5 year age groups (14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-65, 65-69, 70 & up)
There are no awards for the kids 1/2 mile race.
There is no awards ceremony. You can pick up your award starting at 1PM on Saturday, December 11th from Fleet Feet @ The Armory. We will hold the awards until December 18th at which point they will get recycled. Overall Male and Female will get their award in the finish chute.
Race Day Schedule
7:30am - 8:15am - Packet Pickup (Do NOT wait until race day, please go to packet pickup on Friday at Fleet Feet)
8:30am - 5K Race Starts
9:30am - 1/2 Mile Kids Race Starts at corner of Court and Exchange on parking garage side of street (we will want to assess that the majority of 5Kers are through so all athletes have room)
Course/Maps
- The Start is outside the Blue Cross Arena on Exchange Blvd
- You will head south on Exchange until you reach the Ford Street Bridge
- You will turn left and cross over the bridge
- Once over the bridge, you will turn right on to Wilson Blvd
- Continue down Wilson until the turnaround, where you will then get on to the river path
- You will head north on the river path to Court Street. You will be following the path the entire way
- Turn left on to Court St to Exchange
- Turn right on to Exchange to the finish line
Directions/Parking
There are several parking garages around the Blue Cross Arena that offer plenty of parking for participants & spectators.
Parking is also available on the large surface lot off Court Street + Exchange. If you park here you may not be able to leave until after the race is completed as it is right along the course for the finish line for the 5K and Kids Race.
