Cabin Fever Trail Races

Traverse the winter wonderland of Webster Park via the trails!  The short course will be approximately 5(ish) miles, the long course will be approximately 10(ish) miles.  The final course distance will depend on trail conditions on race morning. 90 minutes are allotted for each lap.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES

Due to the current COVID-19 global pandemic, we are taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of our staff, participants, and the general community.  As part of the registration process, everyone must sign and adhere to this COVID-19 section of the waiver - CLICK HERE to view - You will sign this as your register.

  1. Masks must be worn leading up to the start of your event and immediately following the finish of your event.
  2. All athletes are required to carry hydration with them while on course, there are no water stops
  3. Post-Race food will be prepackaged and in a bag. These will be handed out to you at the finish line upon completion of your event.
  4. Remain physically distant by a minimum of 6 feet at all times, and no congregating before or after your event.
  5. Packet pickup items will be pre-bagged and labeled with your name on them. There is no exchange of shirts or bib numbers available.
  6. Throw out any of your own trash, do not toss it on the ground for staff/volunteers/other athletes to clean up.
  7. There will not be an awards ceremony.  We will mail awards within a few days after the event is complete so we can compile results
  8. Results will be available online after the event
  9. Please check your email for specific race day and packet pickup COVID-19 Protocol
  10. No Spectators will be allowed
  11. Upon completion of the event, you must IMMEDIATELY exit the area.  You can not wait for other athletes as we must maintain capacity and social distance.
  12. NYS residents only
  13. All athletes will have their temperature taken at the start line weather permitting or be prepared for the COVID-19 Questions. Anyone with a temp higher than 100 degrees will not be allowed to compete and will be asked to leave.
  14. Your start will be at your convenience (during the times listed below under Race Day Schedule) and any can happen when you are ready.
  15. Athletes will start one at a time with a few seconds between each start
  16. The course is entirely on trails marked with pink flags.  If you get lost it is your fault, so please pay attention

Registration/Packet Pickup

The entry fee is $30 for either distance. 
This event is capped so register soon.

Packet pickup will be available on Friday, February 19th, 2021 from 10am-6pm at Fleet Feet @ The Armory (155 Culver Rd, Rochester).  We highly encourage going to packet pickup to alleviate race day lines.

Awards

Overall M/F per race and 1st in 10 year age groups by M/F.
Certificates to be mailed to award winners after the event.

Race Day Schedule

8:30am-9:30am - Registration/Packet Pickup Opens near Parkview Lodge*.  We do not encourage waiting until race day as staff is limited, and the COVID-19 protocols.
9am-10am - Long Course Racers Arrive and Start.  Keep in mind you must finish loop one in 90 minutes.
9:30am-10:30am - Short Course Races Arrive and Start

*Only YJR staff permitted inside Parkview Lodge

Course/Maps

The short course will be around 5 miles, the long course will be around 10 miles.  Final course distances will be dependent upon trail conditions on race morning. The long course will be 2 loops of the short course. 90 minutes are allotted for each lap.
