Women Run the Roc
Benefiting the Rochester Museum & Science Center

TRAFFIC ADVISORY NOTIFICATION LETTER

The Women Run the ROC 5K will be occurring on Saturday, August 13th at 8AM.  The start and finish location on Goodman Street, next to the Rochester Museum & Science Center.  The event is a benefit for the RMSC. 

This notification is to inform you of some temporary street/traffic impacts.  

Please note, while streets will be closed during certain timeframes, local residential traffic will be delayed but definitely accommodated.  The Rochester Police Department will be working diligently to assist with traffic.  Traffic will be able to cross through the closed areas as well, so not to completely halt transportation to churches, businesses and homes. 

Below is the run course:

• Start on Goodman St (next to RMSC) Heading past East Avenue towards College Ave
• Left on College Avenue
• Left on Prince Street
• Left on East Avenue
• Left on Granger
• Left on University
• Left on Goodman
• Back to finish next to RMSC 

Road Closures include:

• The route plus East Avenue from Alexander to Goodman (local traffic allowed out eastbound)
• University from Culver to Alexander (locale traffic allowed out westbound)
• Goodman closed from Park Avenue to Main St (Circle St) 

The majority of the runners will be done by 9AM, with the greatest majority finishing by 8:45AM.

A women’s only 5K Run/Walk thru the City of Rochester. The course, starts and ends at the Rochester Museum & Science Center.  One lucky guy will get to run with the ladies! In exchange for a small donation to the “Rochester Museum & Science Center”, guys can enter a drawing to be the ONLY guy in the race (receive one entry for each $10 donation). All entries must be paid in cash or check by mail or in store (No online entries). Race applications are available at both Fleet Feet Sports Rochester locations.  There is an awesome prize valued at $200 from Black Button Distilling.   The Kids Run Wild races will all be co-ed.

Includes

• Chip timing.
• Live results posted online as they come in.
• Live text and email results as your finish (sign up for results notifications to track a runner here)
• Finish line video integrated into the results in the following week
• Plenty of post-race food including hot dogs, cookies, veggies and more! 

• Premium blend cotton t-shirts (in Youth and Women's sizes) to all those registered by August 1, 2016.
