A great way to kick off your road racing season, the Spring Forward Distance run has been a staple in the running community since its inception in 2003. Come for the 15k Race, 2.5 Mile Fun Run, or 1/4, 1/2 and Full Mile Kids Run Wild Races, and stay for the post race food and fun!
Pace groups led by experienced pacers for a variety of times will be provided and organized by Fleet Feet Sports. Running with a pace group will help you have a more successful experience by helping you to your goal time. Anyone can use this service, there is no charge for it.

The USATF certified 15K (~9.3 Mile) course is hilly and a great tune up for late spring marathon or the Rochester Regional Health Flower City Half Marathon.
The course has some challenging hills, with a total elevation gain of 455 feet. It’s most difficult section is miles 7 through 8.5 when returning to the park. There are three water stops on course around miles 3, 6, and 8.
The race starts on Douglas road near the grass triangle at the end of the exit lane of the Beach Lot heading south towards Pond Road. Turn left onto Pond Road, then turn right onto Pittsford Mendon Center Road (Rt. 64). There will be a water stop before the next turn around mile 3 then turn left onto Rush Mendon Road (Rt. 251). Turn left onto West Bloomfield Road. At about 6 miles there will be a water stop after the crossing of Smith Road. Turn left onto Canfield Road then there will be a water stop about a ½ mile after the turn onto Canfield Road before Mile 8. Turn left onto Douglas Road then turn right onto the gravel path leading to Stewart Lodge and head into the finish corral. (Map)
The 2.5 Mile course is an out and back on Douglas Road. There are hills, but they are friendly hills. Runners will begin on the gravel path by the tall red start banner and head towards Douglas Road.
Turn right onto Douglas Road heading south. Follow Douglas Road until you reach the turn around cone which you'll turn clockwise around and return back to the gravel path leading to the Finish (Map)
Kids Run Wild Course Description
The Kids Run Wild races will be on the grass by the playground and will be 1/4 mile loop.

Parking
Parking is available at the Beach Lot, East/West, Evergreen, Pond View, and Southview lodges.
Please take a look at the park map to become familiar with the assigned parking lots.
Please do not park on the grass anywhere within the park, in any lots not mentioned above, or on the sides of the roads!
As always, please arrive early to allow yourself plenty of time!!
