Many thanks to Carl Johnston for compiling this historical paper.

Course/Maps

Swim Course

We will be swimming in Lake Ontario in a triangle shape. If the water is deemed too rough by Park Officials the swim will be replaced with a run. The temperature can range anywhere from 55 to 70 degrees and the water terrain can be calm or wavy depending on wind flow. WETSUITS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Wetsuits can be rented or purchased from Fleet Feet Sports.

Run Course

The run is on the west side of the park and very well marked. The run is relatively flat with some parts on the trail section at the west side of the park. The trails are fairly easy and help break up the run. This map is not to scale since part of it is on trails, but is extremely well marked. There are 3 water stops as well.  The run course is now 2 Loops for the second run.  The Duathlon's first run is one loop of this in the opposite direction.

Map of Run Course - 2 LOOPS!

Don't forget to get your timing chip in the AM. You are to wear it on your ankle at all times until you finish. The chip must be returned! Failure to return your timing chip will result in a $110 replacement fee.
