First Responders 5K Presented by L3Harris Technologies
The First Responders 5K will recognize the strength, perseverance, and courage of Police Officers, Firefighters, EMTs, 911 Operators and their families in our local community. First Responders put their lives on the line for us every day as they face hardships that most of us will never know. The repetitive negative experience of stressful and potentially traumatic events that First Responders face on a daily basis leaves them particularly vulnerable to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. We hope that this event can raise awareness for PTSD in First Responders, and raise funds for the FRST Agency, a local charity that will provide support, awareness, assets, and services to First Responders seeking assistance in dealing with the effects of PTSD. Join us as we recognize the service and sacrifice of the people who dedicate their lives to protecting ours.

- Thurs August 29th from 10am-7pm, Fri August 30th from 10am-3pm at Fleet Feet @ The Armory:
- ARMORY: 155 Culver Road, Rochester, NY 14620
- Race Day, Fri, August 30th, at the Webster Fireman's Field starting at 5pm
Awards
- Award to fastest in full uniform/gear (EMS, Fire, Police)
- Top 3 Overall Male and Female
- Age Group Awards to 1st place Male/Female in 10 year age groups (19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & up)

There is a large parking lot available on site for parking. At 6:15pm the east side entrance to the parking lot will be closed due to the start of the event but the west side will remain open longer until the start of the event.
