Q: I am coming in from out of town and online registration requires me to select a packet pickup location, but we won’t be arriving until after the stores close.  What do I do?

A: No worries, any packets that aren’t picked up will be brought to the race site for pick up race morning.  Race day registration/packet pickup times and locations are listed on each event page individually.

 

Q: It’s Wednesday afternoon and I’m trying to register for the race on Saturday but it says online registration is closed.  What do I do?

A: For most events, online registration closes at noon the day prior to packet pickup opening so that we can count shirts, label bibs, and deliver the items to the appropriate packet pickup location(s).  You are welcome to register at either Fleet Feet Sports Rochester location during regular business hours, or at the race site on race morning.  Race day registration/packet pickup times and locations are listed on each event page individually.

 

Q: I registered for your event and now I’m sick/broke my leg/have to go out of town/the weather is bad, what do I do?

A: Unfortunately, as our policies and waiver (that you signed upon registering state), we are unable to issue refunds for any reason.  We are unable to make exceptions to this, as we strive to treat all athletes equally. The only exception to this is in the event of a duplicate online entry or accidental double charge, a refund check will be issued. Refund checks require 2-4 weeks to be processed.

 

Q: What if I find someone else who wants my entry, can I give it to them?

A: Unfortunately, no.  Event entry fees are not transferable to another person.  Selling your race slot or transferring your entry is strictly prohibited!  If you sell or transfer your race slot, you will be disqualified from the event and you, as well as the racer who used your slot will be unable to race in another YellowJacket Racing event for a minimum of 2 years.

 

Q: Can I transfer my entry fee to another YellowJacket Racing event?

A: Unfortunately, we are not able to transfer entries to other YellowJacket Racing event, nor can we defer entries to the same event the following year unless stated specifically on that individual race website. 

 

Q: The website says that tech shirts are available by a specific date and cotton shirts will be available after that, I know that the date has already passed, but can I still get a tech shirt?

A: We only order the number of shirts that were requested by the specific date listed, no extras.  Sorry! Sometimes there are shirts left over after the event at which point you can contact YellowJacket Racing to see if any are available.  Sometimes there is a fee for an additional shirt.

 

Q: Are the shirts for your event men’s/women’s or unisex?

A: Cotton shirts are almost always unisex.  In some cases, we do have gender specific tech shirts.  Please read each specific event website and registration form carefully to ensure that we order you the correct size.

 

Q: I think I registered for an event, but can’t remember.

A: To view a confirmation list of each YellowJacket Racing event, go to the specific event website, click to register “online”, then click the “Find a Participant” tab.

 

Q: I registered for the half marathon, but training hasn’t been going so well, and I’d like to run the 5k instead, is that ok?

A: Yes, as long as you notify us prior to the race start.  It is important to get these changes in to our timers so ensure the accuracy of the results.  We will not be able to issue a refund for any difference in entry fees.
